Weeks 3 and 4

As your mods, we want  to make sure everyone is equally able to keep up to speed with the game, upcoming plots, plotting and everything that is going on! So, ALC will have bi-weekly plotting posts that give everyone a bit of an idea of what to expect, a place to plan out CR interactions or plot with one another, a way to find some NPC CR if you want it and an idea of what is going on around the island.

This is our very first one of those posts so it is going to have a bit more information in it than they generally will. I will try to make sure these go up every other weekend. If people have input on when the best day for it is, let me know. Fridays so you get the whole weekend to plan is my idea for the moment. So, here we go!

Atlantis Week 3&4

The wave of new Transplants is settling down, with the NPCs still keeping an eye on them. Hull will be spending most of his time around the Town Centre and can be approached by anyone.

As the sun sets on Sunday, the second sun will be noticeably missing, the sky will darken with the sun set and a full moon will rise. During Week 3 the Southern Shore will be flooded. New arrivals will find themselves washed up in the streets of Gaia, near the Town  Centre. Atlanteans will be restless and snappy, small domestic disputes will be common around the city, along with small acts of vandalism. Most Atlantean city dwellers will be apologetic after the week ends.

The following week will be perfect weather, beautiful and sunny through the entire week. Hull will post a network notice that the Atlantean Fisher Fleet is recruiting. Your characters are welcome to try for the job. They'll take any willing hand and find a job for them.

Full Moon Fever
Week 3 (Feb 3-10)
There have long been legends of the full moon driving people mad.  Crime rates spike, domestic violence breaks out, some even claim it causes men to howl and shed their skins to join the wild beasts. While the legends can range into the absurd, there is always some truth to the myths, and never is it more obvious than now. A noticeably large, bright full moon will rise on Sunday. Even with the cloudy skies the moon's luminous reflection is visible. With the moon's unnaturally bright light, a sickness will spread, notable at first only as a mild fever. However, as the fever rises, people's inner beasts will shine through. Repressed urges get pushed forward, primal instincts and desires come to the forefront. All around the island tempers run short, unexpectedly powerful emotions are acted upon. Or maybe you just have the urge to stuff your face with food and drink too much. However the moon's rays affect you, the fever will be gone by the time the second full moon sets on Saturday.

People aren't the only thing the moon is affecting this week. Sunday, waters will rise. The southern shore will flood, boats untied to the docks may float out to sea, and the lower portion of Gaia will be flooded. The waters will be slow to recede from the city, lingering until the end of Week 3. By Sunday afternoon (the start of Week 4) the water will have returned to its normal depths.

Week 3 | Feb 12-15
During Week 4, the Marauding Magic Shop will be attempting to spread some Valentine spirit through the island. Enchanted love letters, magical roses and a variety of other 'mostly harmless' spells will begin to find their way across the island. Another post will go up for this from the players behind the plot next weekend. Safe to say, though, that love will be quite literally, in the air.

Week 3: 
Slightly cloudy and cool
The temperature will be in the 60-65F ~15-18C range
The night sky will feature: Unfamiliar star patterns.
When the 'normal' Sunday sun sets, a full moon will rise instead of the second sun

The moon will wane at a rapid rate from Sunday to Wednesday.
No moon on Thursday and Friday, and another full moon on Saturday

Week 4: 
Sunny and pleasant
The temperature will be in the 65-75F ~ 18-24C range
The night sky will feature: Earth skies
Southern Hemisphere Star patterns and normal lunar waning cycle (Waning down from Saturday's full moon.)

Great minds think alike. The chances are very, very high. Dex rules the mountains. Specifically the Southernmost mountain which he and his brethren call home.

Exploration

Planning on going swimming in the ocean? Checking out the Ruins? Wandering the rainforest or mountains? Braving the caverns? If you want an idea of what your character will encounter, have ideas or just want some confirmation of what's around town, comment here. We're happy to plot with and work with you!

Loki

Loki will have enough of the town and seek the mountainous areas sometime this week. He intends to find somewhere habitable with the natural caves to make his primary home if he needs to be stuck here.

The mountain closest to the city is inhabited by a hyper-intelligent Raptor named Dex and the raptors he has been teaching. Loki is likely to run into them. Dex knows these mountains better than the Atlanteans and would willingly offer Loki information if offered something in return. There are mazelike mines and natural caverns running all through the mountains, but he will find not a single cave in the Dormant Volcano at the heart of the chain.

We would strongly advise against trying to make one.

Little Loki

He's been scouting around the city and memorizing back-alleys and back-doors and ~~ways to get into places~~ and so on and so forth. It'll make it easier for him in the long run to sneak around and make a quick escape if needed. He's also been looking for back-doors to head through different realms (which he obviously hasn't found).

He's also probably headed up alone to check out the forest/ruins.

Loki's next two weeks

Loki is going cave exploring!

And he'll be sneaky around town in that raggy cloak he found somewhere. He's trying to learn the area the old tried way of physical exploration, so he'd be on the streets probably early week 3, gone for the second half of the week, then returning early week 4.

He does have a place he's crashing at in town... so if someone managed to find his hole-in-a-wall, rundown dwelling, they might find his face mask left behind there, as well as a miscellaneous number random things. And one book on Atlantis history.

He's also monitoring the networks but he found no desire to insert himself into it yet.

Will be racing through town as a dangerous werewolf tomorrow night and hopefully being distracted by Anita, Prongs and Padfoot If you would like to run into werewolf Remus or see him, let me know. The rest of the week he'll be unusually outspoken, even aggressive. He'll be quick to snap at people, verbally, and eating a concerning amount of chocolate. Where is he even getting it all?

I FEEL LIKE LITTLE LOKI AND TONY SHOULD DO SOMETHING. have they had the "I used to know you" conversation? also Loki will be overly interested in whatever he's doing. Also what is he doing? Loki may try to hijack something in the future for whatever he believes is the good of everything. So he's collecting resources.

Forest

Dean's Baby (The Impala) Is washing up with the weird tides, right into the middle of Gaia (District?). He'll be pretty pumped about that when he gets done freaking out about whether or not she has water damage.

Jefferson is just really happy he has Grace back. But I would love to do more with him (Still working on that thread a bit slowly but I wouldn't say no to more)

Merlin is here! not sure what all he's going to do. Build some CR, hopefully.

Christine's Army

Anita is in everyone's business, as per usual. She has her apartment reasonably well settled and will be getting into shouting matches with Tony through her ceiling/scolding him about his music being too loud. She will also be assisting with keeping Remus under control while he runs rampant, and it looks like she may be occupied around Valentine's Day! :3 She's still available to talk to or assist anyone who needs help settling in or needs a rundown of what this place is as they arrive, and still looking into making sure everyone has what they need.

Getting to know Little Loki and still looking for Big Loki! He's searching pretty tirelessly, but he will be making himself available to Tony for any assistance he might need on getting Avengers things set up. Yeah. Like this is the guy you want helping with your tech stuff. When he is not so focused on searching for his brother, I would love for him and Merida to go exploring, too.

Likely dividing her time between assisting Charles with whatever he needs and getting their house settled, as well as spending time with Sam -- who will be receiving some awkwardly forward attentions during the full moon event.

No concrete plans, but I am thinking of having him just run totally loose and go back to his really early jungle-boy routine (as in, end of season 3), running around in the rainforest or other places outside the city and claiming "trophies" from the things he hunts.

She will most certainly be spending time with Henry and butting heads with Regina! Also, she's keeping an eye on you, Killian Jones.

Severus needs more contact with the present Marauders and other HP cast, but otherwise has no plans. I would like to throw him at Merlin when I get a chance, as well -- but mostly, he's been holed up and keeping to himself, monitoring the network, frequenting the libraries and learning whatever he can about this place.

Irritated with everything and starting to feel a little run-down. Uh-oh. I might have her do something sinister during the full moon event, but currently undecided!

Alisha and Merida

Okay, let's start with Merida, since she'll be far more straightforward.

Once she has her weapons (and possibly a horse? If not, she'll hoof it), she'll be taking to exploring everything. Well, everything that she can that won't put her completely out of her comfort zone. She'll probably keep away from going too deep into the caves, but everything else is fair game.

That being said, once the full moon fever takes affect, her temper will shorten and she'll probably throw around her weapons a lot more than she would normally. She especially won't take kindly to people ignoring her words (that's a wound that hasn't been healed due to her canon-point), and as a result, might throw a few tantrums. With her sword. Essentially, she'll be a little ball of fire with all these feels that she's not entirely sure where to direct. She'll be apologetic on Saturday, though; she doesn't want to create bad blood between herself and anyone else.

As for Alisha, she'll probably regain her title as Queen Bitch. The grief, frustration, and loneliness from her purposeful physical isolation will bubble up... especially when she'll probably be feeling urges and longings not completely unlike what she felt in her previous, promiscuous, pre-power lifestyle. She'll also be stressed and worried and who knows what else over Connor. Long story short, she will not be pleasant by any means. I wouldn't mind her venturing out after him to stop his hunting, though that might end badly for her ICly (but should be fabulous OOCly). After the fever ends, she'll put her energy into opening up a bar. WHO ALL WANTS BOOZE

I'm up for just about anything as far as the Valentines thing goes, but the IC consequences will probably be more on the negative side (not that I mind! The "bad/awkward/possibly funny stuff" is always fun to play out).

Anyways Pitch will be exploring more of the place. The ruins may interest him at some point, but with some of the 'sunny' weather this place has been having, it's been hard for him to explore as of late. But now he can probably travel by night at the least.

I'm totally up for any kind of interaction! I'm so sorry I've been lame lately, school has been a butt. :| BUT YES HAVE AT HIM if you wish.

Little Loki

The little one is basically heading off and trying to scout around the city and probably make some kind of map of back alleys for himself. He's probably already memorized a lot of it. So poking around without making himself known. He's talked to people, but he deliberately hasn't introduced himself to anyone but Thor yet. So mostly he's been laying low!

Abby's peeps

Sam's kept busy over the past two weeks. At some point, he found the puppy he adopted shortly before arriving here, so Sam's been working with him and still trying to find out anything he can.

For Week 3, Sam will end up getting a craving for a certain type of blood. Sorry Dean, but at least there aren't demons on the island, right? On the bright side, thanks to a conversation he had with Sirius ages ago and having read HP books, he's not going to be too worried if he hears stories about a werewolf running around.

He should at least be feeling more like himself and hopefully not regretting his life choices by Week 4.

Grace is p much the happiest kid ever now that she's been reunited with Jefferson. I'm more than happy to throw her around if people want her in places.

By Week 3, Killian will have sort of adjusted to being stranded on the island. Within a day or two after arriving he would've found a way to actually get his ship docked. The flooding will be an interesting experience for him, as he sleeps on his ship. Also, any phone he might've acquired or anything valuable he might've snagged while no one was looking... yeah, he has no intention of paying for that.

Prussia's been a happy camper, with finding a place to drink and having also found his best friends. I feel bad for anyone who's encountered the three of them together. But I don't have any concrete plans for him.

Late to the party

Steve Rogers - oldfashionedhero Hopefully my schedule will allow me to get more active with Steve, as I feel like he'd be pretty proactive in this kind of environment. He might be helping Thor search for Loki if Thor allows it. He's definitely getting to know the city and possibly doing the occasional odd job here and there. He'd be pretty restless, just because he feels so out of place and is unsure what is best to do. He'll be helping Tony get Avenger things set up and hopefully meeting new people. He'll be affected by the moon and get a little testy. I would actually love for him to be affected by the vday plot as well.

Darcy Lewis taserhappy is perfecting her skills in the marketplace and learning the delicate art of bartering. She might be slightly addicted and might be collecting some strange purchases/trades at her place. She'll get caught up in the moon fever, though I'm not entirely sure how she'll be reacting yet.

Buffy Summers buffinator is still exploring the island heavily, and also possibly attempting to track Darla down. She's thinking about finding a job. The moon will be affecting her as well and she might be on the prowl fro some hook-ups, that she definitely won't be thinking were a good idea come the end of the week. It's not you, it's her. It's really, really her.

Ron Weasley - sixthredson is being intro'd/brought in this week if it's the last thing I do. He might not be part of the moon effect, but he'll definitely be in on the V-day bit.
