MEME: Ten Things I Don't Know About You!

Since we've had so many new players and new characters arrive in the past couple of months, it's time for everyone to get to know each other a little better! And so, in the spirit of such an effort, we present you with the following meme!

TEN FACTS MEME

The rules are simple:

- Post a comment for each of your characters!
-
Include ten (or more!) facts about them that other people might not know.
- Nothing is too insignificant! Every detail offers some kind of insight.
- Seek out people for new CR, make new friends!

I still need to ICly intro her, but here's some info so she'll be somewhat familiar! I'll try not to repeat too much of what's readily available in her journal.

1. She's an original character from a world of my own creation. Which... probably isn't that exciting, seeing as the setting itself is mostly identical to the world we live in.
2. Carrie was in the foster child system for the majority of her life. Sadly, due to several intertwining circumstances, she was never adopted.
3. Back when she was young and in a youth home, she was given a toy stuffed poodle, whom she named Georgette. It's been the only item she's ever constantly had with her as she bounced from foster home to foster home. Needless to say, she's going to have a hard time sleeping without it once she gets to Atlantis.
4. After she went out to live on her own, she purchased two pets: a red beta fish named Tony and a rat named Ramona. She's closer to these two animals than she is with any person.
5. Her life goal is to save up enough to travel to and live in San Francisco; she thinks blending in with a large crowd is the best way to stay safe. Zebra logic.
6. Because I'm a horrid sucker for the genre, some of the people in Carrie's world are discovering they have powers (I've gone with a more "cosmic" explanation to help differentiate the setting from things Marvel has used). Sadly, she is one of them. Essentially, she can reverse damage to organic tissue; sort of like healing, but without the germ-killing, cancer-curing benefits.
7. She's not overly fond of cornfields anymore. Even more of a reason for her to get out of the midwest and into San Fran.
8. On multiple occasions, she's tried to find out what happened to her parents/why she was put into the foster system, but each time she started, she never followed through. She can't bring herself to do it.
9. Carrie is incredibly frugal (though it wasn't always to that current degree). She doesn't like to waste anything she doesn't have to. Though... that's because she works hard for every last penny and really can't afford to be wasteful.
10. Due to working two jobs to stay afloat, she's never been able to consider going to college.
