1. TJ is the oldest son of Bud Hammond and Elaine Barrish by a couple minutes.
2. He grew up in what he describes the fishbowl; all eyes constantly on him, scrutinizing everything he did. This continues to affect him even as an adult.
3. He was the first openly gay son in the White House. He still thinks boobs are great though.
4. He got high for the first time in the Lincoln bedroom.
5. He has an addiction problem and if someone offers him something, it’s difficult, if not impossible for him to resist in taking it. Doesn’t matter what it is.
6. Other risky behavior is up his alley too. All the anonymous sex? Hell yes.
7. He once convinced his brother and his brother’s girlfriend to take ecstasy with him at a party, and it was while high that his brother got engaged.
8. TJ thought he was in love once. It was the best six months of his life. Then it ended, and he almost did too. Christmas is a sore spot for him now.
9. He’s an excellent pianist, but nothing has come from that talent. Thirty year olds don’t become concert pianists.
10. Before arriving in Atlantis, he opened a nightclub in DC called the Dome. He overdosed on cocaine on opening night, which made the second time he almost died in less than a year.

totally 100% gay and has known this since he was younger, according to what he's said, and he's had to be outed that way. He told his bro that he sleeps with women to make sure he's still gay sometimes. He could be, but he/the show didn't want to get into excessive labelling.
