Atlantis Weeks 17-20
You Can't Hide What's Inside You
While Atlantis is pulling itself back together after the plague of fire of the previous month, the citizens of Atlantis have pulled together to help one another out. Finding new homes, repairing shops and generally pulling together to put the city back in one piece.
An unusual Aurora Borealis appears in the sky Sunday morning and throughout the week people will be waking to new companions in their beds. Souls are manifesting themselves outside of people's bodies in the form of Daemons.
Daemons come in animal forms of all kinds. Mammals, reptiles, even insects. Children's Daemons can change forms into whatever animal reflects their mood, inner feelings, or intent at the time. Adult's Daemons are 'settled' into a form that reflects who the person is inside. (The inner-self of a human is physically manifested in the form of an animal called a dæmon). People who listen to orders and are followers tend to have canine daemons, a shy or reserved person might have a mouse or a butterfly, an adventurous and bold person might have a big cat, like a lion.
When your character wakes up, their Daemon will know everything there is to know about them. They are as much a part of them as their own head. You two are connected. A person's dæmon is usually of the opposite sex to its human; however, in some cases it may be the same sex as the person. Any pain you feel, your Daemon feels and any harm that comes to your Daemon you will feel. If you die, your Daemon dies with you. Neither can bear to be distanced by more than several yards (it causes physical pain). It is extremely improper to touch another person's Daemon and will cause the other person discomfort. (Daemon, however, frequently interact with one another).
interactions between dæmons usually accentuate and illuminate the relationships between the characters, and have also been used as a means of passing information between humans without being overheard.
When a person dies, their dæmon fades away, like "atoms of smoke."
Daemons persist throughout week 16 and will continue to hang around any characters who have gained one for the next few weeks until the end of week 20, when they will disappear once more as if they had never been there at all.
It should be noted there IS a possibility your character might keep their Daemons. It requires participation in a plot. There is a sign up in the post below and another post will go up before the plot happens. (It'll be pretty simple, really. It's more to make keeping track easier.)
This is a reminder that Daemons are not pets. They are the manifestation of your character's soul and they both can and will talk and have their own personality quirks and opinions (some even act as a sort of conscience for their counterparts at times.) Please keep this in mind when you are putting them into play.

Air Marshal Nicholaswitt vanished for most of the first week of the dragon's attack and was not at all himself when he returned, volunteering for a suicide mission to attempt to catch the dragon and putting the lives of his men and himself at risk. After being detained by his Second in command, Jack ( thepartyprince ) Witt has been under the watchful eye of Native Atlantean, Owen (pateras )
Thanks to the sharp-shooting ofbowsbeforehoes the dragonfireandash problem was finally nullified (with the help of the remaining avengers). After its death, the body of the dragon remained on Ouranos summit for three days until a mysterious building appeared in its place.
Atlantis
There has been an influx of Greek Gods that can only spell potential trouble for Atlantis' future
Charles Xavier is opening a new school (details to come) that your characters are invited to attend.
Atlantis has picked up an extensive amount of new buildings to replace the burnt out shell of Ouranos District.
Everyone who was killed in the Fury of Mt. Olympus came back to life (yay)

After the chaos and terror of the past month, Atlantis is going in a lighter, calmer route this month. Things are quieter and cooler this month. Relax and have fun trying to figure this newest event out.

Still cool but warming up. Aurora Borealis visible during both day and night in the sky
The temperature will be in the 50F ~ 10C range
The night sky will feature:

Cool and windy with colorful, starry skies
The temperature will be in the 50-60F ~ 10-16C range and damp

Waterspouts in the bay, Windy and warm.
The temperature will be in the 60-70F ~ 15-20C range and humid with strong winds
The night sky will feature: Full moon on Tuesday

Warm, pleasant weather
The temperature will be in the 75F ~24C range with a gentle breeze
The night sky will feature: Earth stars, summer weather, western hemisphere.

Alisha will still be running Plaid, and will not be very happy to hear TJ overdosed. First Dean kidnaps an employee, now the other one's dead... it's just so hard to find trust-worthy help these days. At any rate, she's been preoccupied with spiting Erik, so I hope to continue that as well. In general, she'll be around, reacting to whatever CR comes her way. I'm guessing her daemon will be a rabbit, because. Well. We all know how rabbits like to breed.
PS: As a note and reminder, she does serve people 16 and over. Teenagers, you have access to booze; make the most of it. :3
Merida will definitely be going on adventures! I think a post for her will be one of the first ones I attend to; so if anyone wants to go exploring with her, they're more than welcome to join! Her daemon will be an eagle because I'm unoriginal, and she's as proud as its skein.
Milo will continue to research and stuff, probably do a bit of exploring himself to see if he can't find text on ruins and translate those. His daemon will take the shape of a FIREfly. Yanno, the kind that burned down the camp. Looks harmless enough, but when riled, becomes a force to be reckoned with... just like a certain linguist we know.
Baby Doll is searching for a job, one preferably not too different from what she did in Lennox (sans the whole "sleeping with customers" aspect). If there's any sort of place like that already tucked away in Atlantis, that'd be superspecialawesome; if not, she'll make due elsewhere. I'm not sure whether it's allowable at all, it'd also be cool if her daemon could take the form of this thing. If not, the
Monty Python rabbitServal cat will suffice (cute and deadly, aspects that are surprising in a domesticated cat, out of place, pick your metaphoric poison). Though the robot is still cool and far more fitting given her ridiculously vivid imagination.Carrie will be doing her best to both explore the city whilst blend into the crowd at the same time. She is also in dire need of a rat cage, so I imagine she'll be asking about that

Adam is coming in soon and I know we have plans for him to meet Carrie, and I also think that he would really like Milo since they're both academic types. Also more Alex and Carrie!
I would love to get some lasting CR/bonding with Baby Doll. Now that my head is on straight, I'd like to throw Emma at her again -- Emma knows what it's like to be down and out, considering she lived her life in the foster system, then out on the streets, then... in prison... anyway she can sympathize with Baby doing what she has to in order to get by.

And yeah, Baby's a bit of a tough nut to crack, especially since all her canon bonds came out of a "do or die" sort of situation; if they didn't band together and bond, they'd all be forever trapped in Lennox and/or be eventually killed by Blue. Without that sort of necessity, she definitely has been floundering around a bit, not quite sure what to do with herself. She really needs a direction and something to stand for, even if it's just simplistic/minimal in the scheme of things, you know? LONG STORY SHORT, BONDING CR WILL BE GOOD. It'll take time, but it'll be good.
